Honnan indult?
Az elektronikus zenei világban eltöltött hosszú utazás után Mátó Viktor [Viktor MATO] és Földi Olavi [7mirror] úgy döntöttek, hogy a barátságukra, lemezek iránti rajongásukra és hasonló zenei ízlésükre építve együttműködnek. Ezek vagyunk mi, innen indult a Phonoda.
Viktornak aSoundcloud csatornáján elindított Phonoda névre keresztelt vinyl mix sorozata és Olavi miniSeries nevű archív vidókra épülő mix sorozata lépett fúzióba. A kiinduló alap a zene szeretete volt, a motiváció pedig az általuk értékelt és elismert zenék bemutatása. Illetve a figyelem felhívása arra, hogy mennyire fontos a producerek támogatása, ezért is buzdítanak mindenkit a a mai napig arra, hogy vásároljanak zenét, támogassák az előadókat és kiadókat egyaránt, hiszen minden egyes kiváló zenét nekik köszönhetünk! A zenének pedig éltető ereje van…
A Phonoda Records létrejöttének oka egyszerű. A hazai tehetséges producerek kutatása és segítése. Majd 10 éven keresztül bentről láttuk a zenei piac minden oldalát, kiadók és producerek szemszögéből, láttuk mit lehetne máshogy csinálni. Érzékeltük a hazai nehézségeket és minél több itthoni tehetséggel ismerkedtünk meg annál inkább egyértelműbb volt, ezek a srácok sokkal nagyobb figyelmet érdemelnének, mint amit kapnak. Nem álmodtunk nagyot, egészen egyszerűen csak belevágtunk. Barátságok szövődtek, közösség alakult a fő üzenet pedig soha nem változott: ZENE!
Mára a kiadó már kiegészült, fontos barátok csatlakoztak a közös munkálatokhoz, így segítve egymást, a fejlődést és azt, hogy fenntarthassuk a Phonodát. A közös filozófia, a közös célok és természetesen a zene kovácsol minket.
Megjelenéseinkkel kapcsolatos elveink egyszerűek: nincs ghostolás és nincs AI. A zenék mögött tudás és munka kell, hogy álljon.

A név: A Phonoda szójáték, ami az analóg világra vezethető vissza, tükrözve a a legkedveltebb platformot, a korongok világát. A Fonoda pedig a srácok lakhelyén, Miskolcon egy híres-neves textilgyár neve volt a szocializmusban. A gyár ugyan már nem működik, de a mellette lévő utca még ugyan ezen a néven létezik, ami manapság leginkább a rajta illegő-billegő “éjjeli pillangók” munkahelye.Ennek a két szónak a kollaborációs eredménye a Phonoda és a logó is a fonal gombolyag mivoltában erre utal.
CONCEPT:
After many years immersed in the world of electronic music, Viktor Mátó (Viktor MATO) and Olavi Földi (7mirror) decided to build something together based on their friendship, their shared passion for vinyl records, and their similar musical taste. That’s who we are. That’s where Phonoda began. The project was born from the fusion of Viktor’s Phonoda vinyl mix series on SoundCloud and Olavi’s miniSeries, an archive-based mix series built around carefully selected videos. At its core was a simple idea: a genuine love for music and a desire to showcase the artists and records we truly admire.
From the very beginning, we’ve also believed that supporting music creators is essential. That’s why we continue to encourage everyone to buy music and support both artists and record labels. Every great record exists because of the people who created and released it. Music has the power to inspire, connect, and keep culture alive.
The reason behind the creation of Phonoda Records is simple: to discover and support talented Hungarian producers.
For nearly ten years, we experienced every side of the music industry from both the label’s and the producer’s perspective. We saw what worked, what didn’t, and what could be done differently. As we got to know more and more talented local artists, it became increasingly clear that they deserved far more recognition than they were receiving.
We never dreamed of building something huge. We simply decided to start.
Along the way, friendships were formed, a community began to grow, and our core message has never changed: Music.
Today, the label has expanded with the help of close friends who joined the journey. Together we continue to support one another, grow as a team, and ensure that Phonoda remains sustainable for years to come.
Our principles are straightforward:
- No ghost production.
- No AI-generated music.
Great music should always be built on genuine creativity, knowledge, and hard work.

The Name
The name Phonoda is a play on words inspired by the analog world, reflecting our favorite format: vinyl records.
It also references Fonoda, the name of a well-known textile factory that once operated in our hometown of Miskolc during the socialist era. Although the factory no longer exists, the nearby street still bears its name. Today, the area is perhaps better known for its colorful nightlife than for its industrial past.
By combining these two ideas, Phonoda was born. Even our logo pays tribute to this connection, as the ball of thread symbolizes the heritage of the old textile mill while tying it to our passion for analog music.
